Best value Z77 Chipset motherboard for i7-3770K

The board has some nice features such as graphical BIOS management with many AI Tweaks so you can play with the speed and voltage setups of your devices. You also get a variety of video outputs which is great if you use the onboard graphics (even has good old VGA). Support for NVIDIA SLI and ATI Crossfire as well as LucidLogix - so no restrictions on the type of card you buy now or in the future.

Plenty of USB ports, including USB 3.0.

Also on board are a dual PS/2 keyboard and mouse socket for old hardware.

It is easy to install in any chassis as the instruction book you get is detailed, so no messing about guessing which way or where motherboard header / socket pins are.

Not really any drawbacks, except if you need alot of SATA III with 6 GB/s there are only 2 ports.

Updated the BIOS with no issues, felt safe to do because there was an easy way back in case it went wrong.

Win7 setup required me to download the latest drivers, but ASUS site has an easy to follow download page and I faced no issues getting this all up and running in less than 2 hours.

I am running:

GSkill DDR3 2400 (16GB - [2 x 8GB]) TridentX - runs this at full speed no OC required.
Samsung SSD 830 Series - 128GB
Arctic Cooling CPU Cooler (Freezer 13 Pro)
ASUS R7750 (PCI Express 3.0 graphics card [The motherboard Z77 chipset and CPU I am running support this])
Seasonic Platinum 1000W PSU

All boxed in a Thermaltake Level 10 GT.

7.5 in Windows Experience Index - this only because the graphics card is scoring 7.5 - everything else is 7.9!

I'm a big fan of Asus hardware. This board did not disappoint. Plenty of connectivity options and solid build quality. As usual though, the Asus software feels completely unfinished or untested. I know it's only an accompanyment but it's so buggy you're as well to skip using their software if you can. The motherboard is 5/5 - would highly recommend - just dropped a point from me on the dodgy software!
