Customer Reviews

Brilliant in every way (except scanning)

I've had use of this for about 18 months - jammed only twice in that time, and that was entirely my fault. Fantastic photos on plain paper if settings tweaked. Beautiful on photo paper. Accepts just about any paper you want to throw at it, but you do have to let it know. Print excellent. Scanning okay but I daresay not as good as a dedicated unit. But if high quality scanning were your priority, I guess you wouldn't be buying it.

When bought, I think it was about £400. I was surprised to see it is now over £500.

Anyway, it's a great machine.

Does everything I need

Prints well. Scans OK. Faxes well. Downsides: Spends a bit of time calibrating from time to time, which can be annoying if I need to print something quickly. Scanning is not as obvious as I would like - scan to email doesn't work with my email system, and despite telling it to scan to PDF, it constantly wants to save them as JPEG, and then splits them into one image per page. I just need to remember to change the output type all the time and it's fine. Never managed to get the scan to computer to work (I have to scan from the computer). Toner cartridges that it comes with don't last long, but replacements (whilst expensive) last a reasonable number of pages.
